Windows Remotedesktop won't work properly

If I connect a 4. Screen via spacedesk, I can only put the Remote desktop Connection on only one of the screens.

Without my iPad Air 4 as a 4. Monitor my 3 other, cabled monitors work just fine with the Remote desktop connection.

I tried scaling up and down the resolution and restarted many times.
Also, I googled a lot and couldn't find anything even closely related.

RDP is supposed to work with up to 16 Monitors, each with a max. res of... at least above full HD xD
I wouldn't consider this the problem.
Maybe the Terminalserver I am connecting to is not supporting more than 3 displays per User, and if more are connected it scales down to one? Is that even possible?

Thanks in advance for any helpful answers 🙂

Hi @nige21202,

On which machine does Remote desktop is connected? Is it on primary or secondary machine?

For further analysis, can you tell us the following details:
Primary Machine
- operating system (Windows 8.1/10)?
- graphics adapter (AMD/Intel/Nvidia)
- network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)

Secondary Machine
- Viewer type (Android/iOS/Windows/HTML5)
- network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)

I have one machine, connecting to the company’s Terminal server via RDP. This works fine with 3 Displays but with a 4th display connected it will only scale up to 1 screen. Everything else works fine.

My PC is on Win10, has an Nvidia RTX2070 Super and a wired Network connection.

The iPad Air 4 I want to use as a 4th screen is connected via 5GHz WiFi to the accesspoint hanging just 1.5m away from it. No walls or other obstacles.

Hi @nige21202,

Can you further describe what do you mean by "it will only scale up to 1 screen"?
Are those 3 other displays (cabled monitor) all in mirror mode?

I have 3 wired Displays. When I only use only these three, the RDP will scale up to all 3 in full screen mode.
Connecting the iPad via spacedesk gives me a fully working 4. screen but if I open the RDP (while the spacedesk display is connected) it only shows up in full screen on one of the Displays. (The main display configured in Windows).

All the screens are configured in extended mode. No mirroring.

Hi @nige21202,
Does all your 3 wired displays/monitors connected on your Nvidia graphics card?
Is Nvidia Surround currently configured (so you can scale a full screen RDP window across your 3 wired display)?
