Touchscreen bugging out/not working as intended

Now, after the first installation, I could use my Touchscreen as a Touchscreen. You know, tap on there and it's a mouseclick. After some time and restarts, the Touch input now gets send to the main Monitor, and only the main Monitor. Sometimes reinstalling fixes it, sometimes it doesn't. You know when it doesn't fix? When the Deinstall feature stops working again. I know it's still not a full version, but please, make it work consistently!

Hi @throwaway_22022021,

What is the touch input type currently set on your spacedesk Android Viewer app Settings -> Touchscreen -> Touch Input Type ? Is it Absolute or Relative Touch?

It was set to absolute position, however I have tried relative and I don't like having to double tap to click. It had also worked fine with absolute position, but it doesn't anymore.

Hi @throwaway_22022021,

Could you please try our most recent spacedesk Driver v0983 on our website.
If problem still persist,
we would like to request for the diagnostic logs of spacedesk server/driver on your primary machine to further analyze the issue.
Please download the spacedesk diagnostic script here, then extract it.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ilm5em35h0ygsfm/2020_spacedeskDiagnosticTool.zip?dl=0

Inside you will find spacedeskDiagnosticTool.cmd, just right-click it then run as administrator on your primary machine.
This script will start a debug view app to capture spacedesk debug traces.
On step 5 it will prompt you to reproduce the issue (connect a viewer app and reproduce the touch issue) make sure to do this before pressing any key to continue.
After the script is done, a folder will be created on the same folder as the script file which contains various log files that we need for analysis.
Please right-click it -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.

Hi @throwaway_22022021,
What is the size of the zip file? Currently the forum only accepts up to 3MB file for attachment.
Maybe you can split the contents and attach it separately.

It's 51.5 KB

The page was not displayed because the request entity is too large.

That's what the forum says

Hi @throwaway_22022021,
If you are trying to attach all files one by one, .log files will not be accepted
Forum only accepts .txt / .zip / .png / .jpg files.
Did you compress the folder that contains all the files?

Posted by: @spacedesklea

Please right-click it -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.

Hi @throwaway_22022021,
I see..
Then can you only send the DebugView.log file for now, just change the extension file name to .txt before attaching it.

Hi @throwaway_22022021,
Could you please click the spacedesk tray icon in the task bar to open the spacedesk SERVER window, then click the menu "..." button and click "Videowall Engine" -> click the "Export Registry Settings", so the current settings will be exported as .reg file, please change the file as .txt file and attach it on your next reply.

Hi @throwaway_22022021,
Thanks for sending the requested file.

Could you please try the following steps on your primary machine:
- uninstall spacedesk Driver via MSI or Control Panel
- run devmgmt.msc, click View tab -> Devices by connection
- check if you can find the following:
-- spacedesk virtual HID Device
-- spacedesk Mouse
- If the devices mentioned above are still on the device manager, please uninstall it by right-click -> Uninstall device
- Note: if there are devices underneath spacedesk virtual HID Device, then you have to uninstall all of it one by one before the spacedesk virtual HID Device

- after removing all of the devices, please reboot your primary machine and try to install again the spacedesk Driver and check if touch will work now.

So, it seems I *only* had to to the troubleshooting deinstallation and reinstall it and that settled it
but I'm really not a fan of that

Hi @throwaway_22022021,
Are there still multiple spacedesk virtual HID Device and spacedesk Mouse on your device manager?

Uninstallation is not working anymore?
Can you please send us the C:\Users\Public\spacedeskSetup.log file, just rename the file type as .txt file before attaching it on the forum site.

So, I managed to unistall, but unless you can guarantee that I won't run into any other problems deinstalling in the future, I won't be installing again

Hi @throwaway_22022021,
Current released spacedesk Driver v0989 does not have any potential fix yet for the touch issues.
We are still working on it (it will probably take time maybe in the next 2 months or so).
We will inform you as soon as it's available for download.
