The touch screen and ipen is not working on the second monitor

Hi, 

I have been using spacedesk for almost half year. It is easy to use and stable. 

I have downloaded the new driver for window 10 early January.

I encountered a problem about my second monitor ( ipad air) as extend monitor , the touch screen and ipen is not working. 

It was working well in the previous days, it just happened yesterday. I checked again this morning, it was not working. 

Please help.

Same problem! I tried to reinstall and repair. but it was still not working

I found the "spacedeskServiceTray.exe" can not be activated

Can developers solve this problem?

Hi @van,
Did you also update your spacedesk iOS Viewer app on your iPad?

@van and @charlie_s,
Please send us the following info:
Primary Machine
- operating system (Windows 8.1/10)?
- graphics adapter (AMD/Intel/Nvidia)
- network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)

Secondary Machine
- Viewer type (Android/iOS/Windows/HTML5)
- network connection type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/WiFi Direct)

For further analysis, could you please run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click "Save All Information", then attach the output file (dxdiag.txt) on your next reply.
PS: Attach option should be visible on your side after your second post.

Thank you for your reply! Here is the info:

Primary Machine
- operating system: Windows 10
- graphics adapter: Nvidia
- network connection type: USB tethering

Secondary Machine
- Viewer type: iOS
- network connection type: USB tethering

 

If I change to another computer that can launch spacedeskServiceTray.exe, the touch function works. So I guess there must be something wrong with the primary machine.

 

I have no option to attach the file, google drive share link can not show correctly.

How can I update my spacedesk iOS Viewer app on your iPad?

I checked the spacedesk website, spacedesk viewer software for secondary machine ( client).

I clicked the iOS – Current version: Beta v1.0.36 ( available on Apple store). Then, I tried the touchscreen again, it is not working.

I took some photos of the screen shots but I can't find the attach option.

Primary Machine
- operating system: Windows 10
- graphics adapter: Intel (R)
- network connection type: wireless

Secondary Machine
- Viewer type: iOS
- network connection type: wireless

Thanks for the feedback.
So you already have the updated spacedesk iOS viewer app.
Did you (maybe) enable the videowall mode?
Currently, if videowall is enabled, absolute touch will not work.

Hi Lea, 

I just checked. I didn't enable the videowall mode. 

I think I can't updated the spackdesk IOS viewer app on my ipad air.

 Current version: Beta v1.0.36 ( available on Apple store) 

Do you have video to show us how it look like if we successful updated the viewer app?

How the IOS viewer app look like on the Apple store? The icon is different?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the spackdesk IOS  app on my ipad air. 

The touch screen is still doesn't work.

Hi @van,
ahh we just noticed that we haven't updated the version on our website, the latest spacedesk iOS Viewer app version is already 1.0.39.
You can check your iOS viewer app's version on the ⓘ button below then click "About", it will show the current version on your iPad. Please check the attached screenshot.

For further analysis, could you please run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click "Save All Information", then attach the output file (dxdiag.txt) on your next reply.

Could you please try our most recent spacedesk Driver v0979 which is now available on our website https://spacedesk.net/.
Then let us know if the same problem still persist.

The touchscreen and Ipen is working well on my ipad Air now.

Can you try to attach again your dxdiag info?

Hi Lea,

After I installed the most recent spacedesk Driver v0979.

I checked the resources monitor of my laptop. 

I didn't turn on spacedeskservice, but the spacedesksevice.exe is still running on my laptop and PID 12480. CPU is 13.  

Why I didn't turn on spacedesk, it is still taking up my CPU capacity. 

As the spacedeskservice is keep running on my CPU. My laptop is so noisy now.

Hi @van,
Thanks for reporting this issue.
We have verified the high CPU usage on most recent spacedesk Drivers (0979-0980).
We will investigate and get back to you as soon as we have fix for this issue.

How did you try to activate it?

Could you please try to run services.msc, find spacedeskService and try to restart it.

High CPU usage should be fixed now in this new version.
