Hi @gunter9999,
For further analysis, could you please send us the following:
- run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click "Save all information" and save the output file (dxdiag.txt)
- spacedeskSetup.log file located in C:\Users\Public
- setupapi.dev.log file located in C:\Windows\INF
Please save all requested files in one folder, then right-click -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.
PS: Attach option should be visible on your side after your second post.

Hi @gunter9999,
Thanks for sending the requested files, we are currently analyzing it.
Could you please try the Install/Uninstall troubleshooter program from the Microsoft Fix article here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed
If spacedesk is not on the program list, just select “Not Listed” then paste the product code of current spacedesk version below.
spacedesk_driver_Win_10_64_v0978_BETA.msi:{97A67668-A308-49EC-B462-67325EFCD3BC}
I have downloaded and run the program <a class="wpforo-auto-embeded-link" href=" removed link " target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> removed link . Unfortunately this has not changed anything.
Greetings Günter
Hi @gunter9999,
Thanks for quickly trying it.
Next - could you please try the following:
- run devmgmt.msc to open the device manager
- click View tab -> click "Devices by connection"
- click View tab -> click "Show hidden devices"
- scroll down and check if you can find any "hidden" spacedesk devices
Hi @gunter9999,
thanks for confirmation.
When you run again the spacedesk msi installer, did it show the Repair/Remove button?
If yes, please select Remove button, then check again on device manager if all spacedesk devices (hidden and visible) will be removed.
If there's no Repair/Remove button in the msi installer, please abort the installer.
Then manually uninstall all spacedesk devices (hidden and visible) in the device manager.
Then try again with spacedesk installation.
Hi @spacedesklea,
The Install / Repair buttons were not present. I manually deleted all Spacedesk entries in the device manager. Then restarted the Spacedesk_Driver....msi. Unfortunately the installation got stuck again.
Best Regards
Günter
Hi @spacedesklea,
I have been able to solve my problem. The cause of the hanging installation must have been the driver of the monitor. I downloaded and installed the latest driver from the monitor manufacturer. After that the Spacedesk installation ran completely.
Spacedesk now works without errors.
Thank you very much for your support
With kind regards
Günter
