Have my kids changed anything on the setting on my desktop?  My phone no longer sees the primary IP address.

The secondary says   Cannot detect any Primary Machine.   yes i am connected to wifi.  yes, software is still on computer and show ip address.  says no remote connection.  have tried to manual ad IP address but it just says validation in progress.  but nothing happens.  i have restarted my phone--no help.

this all worked yesterday and this morning.  but i left the house for a time today (which left those kids alone with the computer) and now it doesn't connect.

please help.   with distant learning, some of those munchkins act like they are doing their school work went they are actually on Fortnite.

Can you please try the following:
- ping the IP address of your phone from your primary machine and check if it's reachable
- run "services.msc" on your primary machine, find spacedeskService right-click restart it
Is your phone Android or iOS?

Hi I just bought the Onyx Boox Note2 which ppl have used screendesk on.

Im  having the same problem as the OP

my primary win10 machine is on the same network as the note2

but pinging the note2 does nothing.

I've also tried restarting the spacedeskService and also tried adding an exception again to the firewall.

I restarted my pc and my android device.

I'm not using a VPN and my firewall is the standard windows one.

Any ideas?

I will try on a windows 8 machine and a different 10 machine

Somehow i seem to always get these issues!

Hi @lancelot152,

We are glad that spacedesk worked for you now.

Guest network might also be similar to public wireless network.
We have similar reports regarding this connection problem, but on some reports, spacedesk is working.
We assume that one reason might be that the wireless router settings could have client isolation enabled.
With this setting, it will prevent direct communication between the connected devices.
