While downloading i saw a warning about NVIDIA drivers not working properly, is this still a problem? I currently use version 456.71, will this cause a problem?

This problem only appears on Windows 10
The last known working version of NVIDIA graphics driver is 446.14 release date: 2020.5.27.
Later NVIDIA graphics driver versions can sometimes cause BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) crashes in certain circumstances when WDDM IddCx displays are used.
This is NOT a spacedesk problem! We managed to reproduce this same BSOD crash even when using other products based on Windows 10 WDDM IddCX Indirect Display drivers (Software- and Hardware-Products).
NVIDIA seem to be aware of the problem and seem to work on a solution. Let's wait for their next driver version.
Furthermore some high end types of NVIDIA adapters don't seem to be affected.
sorry for the question I downloaded the driver version 446.14 of 05/27/20 and installed the driver uninstalled space desk and tried to reinstall it but as I start spacedesk the message that works only with 446.14 keeps appearing. does not connect and cannot find any devices. do you have solutions ?!
Hi @patrik1979,
What exactly is the message?
Can you maybe send us a screenshot of it?
What is your primary machine's operating system (Windows 8.1/10)?
If the viewer app cannot discover the primary machine, please also check the troubleshooting - Network Connection chapter in our user manual https://spacedesk.net/user-manual/.
does the december driver work? driver 460.89?
same question here! is there a way to be updated about this topic? i can't downgrade the driver but i'd like to install spacedesk as soon as this gets fixed. will we receive an email or something?
Hi @papi,
Hi @giaaaacomo,
Currently there's only selected Nvidia Graphics Adapter that has this BSOD case.
Some of our customers and our machines here don't have this BSOD with latest Nvidia adapter.
Actually, we can only reproduce it in one of our test machines here.
As of now, we cannot test all Nvidia graphics adapters (to specify which Nvidia graphics adapter has BSOD) due to limited resources.
One way to find out if there's no BSOD on your machine is to try it.
It can easily be reproduce by opening a maximized window then send it to extension display by pressing (windows logo + shift + left/right arrow keys).
This BSOD issue is actually a Nvidia issue (with Windows WDDM Iddcx driver).
Microsoft already forwarded this issue to Nvidia, and they are currently fixing this issue. Fix is not yet released. We will let you know as soon as it's available.
