My Pad can't find to Spacedesk Server.
Please help me.

Spacedesk server environment: Windows 10 pro64bit
Connection environment: via pocket WiFi (The whole machine is connected to the same pocket WiFi and there is no problem with mutual Ping.)
Spacedesk client environment No.1: Apple iPhone x IOS 14.0.1 connection OK
Spacedesk client environment No.2: honor 10 Lite Android Ver.10 connection OK
Spacedesk client environment NO.3: Apple iPad Pro 12.9 4th Gen. iOS 140.1 connection NG

The iPad will not find the target spacedesk server either at the time of simultaneous connection with the client device or at the single connection.
And cannot even find IP addres.
Client1, 2 of the environment has been able to find spacedesk server without any problems other than the installation of spacedesk.

Hi @yellows,
Can you quickly try the spacedesk HTML5 viewer on your iPad?
Just open a web browser (e.g. Safari or Google Chrome) and go to http://viewer.spacedesk.net/ and connect to the IP address of the primary machine.

We just want to check if the issue on iPad is an iOS viewer app issue and not a network connection problem.

Thank you for your support.
The URL that you contact was displayed in safari in the iPad.
So I was able to connect to the primary machine by specifying IP address.
What is the cause?
Also, do I have to connect via this URL every time?

Hi @yellows,
Thanks for confirmation.
This verifies that it's a network discovery issue in current spacedesk iOS Viewer app on your iPad.
Some users are also experiencing the same issue.
So far we cannot reproduce it on our side but we are still trying.
This issue is already forwarded to the developer.

For now, you can use the HTML5 viewer page on your iPad since it worked there.
We will get back to you as soon as we have news regarding this issue.

Thank you for your reply.

I use it in this state for a while.

However, the screen resolution connected is rough.
Can I increase the screen resolution?

Best Regards.

Yellows.

You mean in HTML5 viewer page?
Yes, you can change the resolution. You can set the available resolution on Advanced Performance Settings button on the lower part of the page. Then you can switch the resolution using display settings window on your primary machine.

Hi @munl,
Did you notice any error notification on your primary machine upon connection attempt?
For further analysis, could you please run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click "Save All Information", then attach the output file on your next reply.
PS: Attach option should be visible on your side after your second post.

There is no error notification.

Could I email the file if it is okay to you?

Hi @yellows,

Please try our most recent spacedesk iOS Viewer app v1.0.36 from the App Store.
Then let us know if the viewer can discover now the primary machine.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Hi @munl,
We have received your dxdiag file.
Could you please run services.msc on your primary machine, find spacedeskService and check if it's running (maybe try to restart it).
Are both primary machine and iPad connected on the same local area network?
Please also try our most recent spacedesk iOS Viewer app v1.0.36 from the App Store.

Hi Lea,

Yes my primary machine and iPad are connected on the same local area network.
As you told, I restart the spacedesk on my primary machine and update the app on my iPad however it still cannot work. The HTML5 still could not connect and the app is unable to detect server or stay in progress forever when I try to manually add IP. 🙁

Hi @munl,
Are you connected over wifi network?
If your wifi has 2 different network band/frequency (e.g. 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz), could it be that your primary machine and iPad are connected on different frequency?
Can you quickly check if this is the case on your side?

Other possible reason for network discovery issue on spacedesk:
- Do you have third-party firewall software installed?
- Or do you maybe have VPN enabled?

Hi Lea,

I don't have third-party firewall software installed and VPN in my primary and secondary machine are both blocked.

And I cannot check whether network frecuency my iPad is connected to.I'm in hotel now so it is impossible to check the wireless router here. I will check that when I go home.

Thank you for your support.

Hi @munl,

Now that you mention it, using public wifi is another possible reason for the network discovery issue.
There is a big chance that the hotel's wifi router settings could have wireless isolation enabled.
With this settings, it will prevent direct communication between the connected devices.

Hi @Lea

I tried the spacedesk iOS Viewer app v1.0.36 from the App Store.
However, spacedesk server cannot found.
And cannot issue an IP address、also.
Each other's Ping is no problem.
