Mirror instead of extend  

If you're on windows, right click on Desktop - select Display Settings - now scroll down and under Multiple Displays select - Duplicate these displays

Or you can switch to Mirror mode using display switch, just press Windows logo key + P hotkey, then display switch menu will pop up just select the Duplicate.

If duplicate is not working or not in the Multiple Displays option in display settings window, please check if your main graphics adapter is updated.
For further analysis, could you please run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click "Save All Information", then attach the output file (dxdiag.txt) on your next reply.
PS: Attach option should be visible on your side after your second post.
