[Solved] [Feature Request] Invert output so that it appears mirror flipped

I use spacedesk on an old android tablet which is placed in a teleprompter unit. The output that I see from spacedesk on the tablet is projected onto and reflected off a two way mirror but the problem is the final image is mirror flipped, which means the text is unreadable.

I would love to see a feature where I can check a box to flip the output so that the text is projected correctly.

Hello,

I would like to add my +1 to this suggestion (feature request). I just installed and tested spacedesk to use it with a teleprompter. (To use it in online meetings, for example.)

An option to "mirror" the screen on the Android device would be great!

Best regards,

Alexandre

I would love to do this too. I tried using Ultramon on top of Spacedesk, it doesn't appear to work with video, such as Zoom or Youtube. I was going to pay the 40 bucks for ultramon. Happy to pay it to spacedesk if that would help!!

Hi @preginald, @aleclerc, @quadling
We have checked and we can easily implement it on videowall mode.
This feature will be available very soon.
We will let you know as soon as we added it on our release version.

Hi @preginald, @quadling, @aleclerc,

Please try our most recent spacedesk Driver v0.9.67.
You can now try the mirror flipped/inverted display option via Videowall Engine GUI.
Looking forward to your feedback.

PS: I just noticed a small issue in the GUI, it's not checking for the initial value upon starting the GUI. But this will be fixed in the next version.

Hi @spacedesklea,

The first tests are looking good. When I realized that I had to turn my screen the other way, all was good in mirror mode. 🙂

Thank you very much for this feature addition!

Kind regards.

Yes, very good to see this -- the reason I found spacedesk is to drive a teleprompter, something more people are using during covid.    I did find that turning on the videowall engine seems to hurt performance a bit, however, but we'll see if we can make it work

Hi, I tried doing this also but cannot find the VideoWall download. Where is it? I am using a teleprompter and being able to flip the image would make it SO nice!

Hi @vrioux,

Videowall Engine user interface is already integrated in the current spacedesk Driver for Windows 10.
Just click the spacedesk tray icon to open the spacedesk SERVER window, then click the menu "..." button then click "Video Wall Engine".
For assistance, please also check the VIDEO WALL CONFIGURATION chapter in our user manual https://spacedesk.net/user-manual/.

I can't figure this out either. When I enable video wall in SpaceDesk, my tablet gets disconnected.

Hi @davelang,

Enabling/Disabling Video Wall will disconnect the connected clients.
You may enable the Auto-Reconnect feature of the client or just manually reconnect.
