Hi Peter John,

This error indicates that the primary machine can be reached over the network but connection fails after the indicated connection time.

Possible reasons are the following:
1. Unstable network connection
- Are you using wireless or wired network connection?
- Is your network reliable/stable?
In case both are connected in wireless network, can you try different network connection to verify if this connection problem only occurs in wireless network?
E.g. USB Tethering (if your client device is android/iOS that supports USB tethering)
If your secondary machine is another Windows machine, you can try Wifi Direct / Mobile Hotspot on Windows 10.
2. Error on spacedesk Primary Machine
- Is the server showing an error message bubble?
- Is the spacedesk server status on the primary machine set to spacedesk ERROR?
- Did you notice if the screen flickers for few times on your primary screen right before it disconnects?

Hi

I have the same issue and am getting an error popping up saying that I have an incompatible hook display driver but the only drivers that I have installed are the Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and then the spacedesk Graphics Adapter. The other two don't seem like drivers I should delete so what do I do about this? Thank you.

The incompatible display hook driver error message indicates that another WDDM filter hook display driver is present on the system.
You need to remove/uninstall this other hook driver detected by our server in order to use spacedesk.
 
Please refer to the Incompatible Display Hook Driver Detected chapter in our user manual for more troubleshooting procedures.

Now it works properly after connecting via USB tethering.

same problem at all four of my systems.

 

error message: failed to plug additional display. trying now for 2 days

Hi @12121212
How many spacedesk viewers are you trying to connect?
Could you please run dxdiag.exe on your Primary Machine, click "Save all information" then attach the output file (Dxdiag.txt) on your next reply. There should be an attach file option below the text editor.
