I am currently confused  I downloaded the 64 bit OS as my primary screen and as the second screen as the 32 bit OS however when I try to connect it the second screen  displays a message saying display off

Could you please open the display settings window on your primary machine, just right-click somewhere in the desktop then click "Display settings", and check if there's a detached second display.
If it's there, just attach it by selecting Extend or Duplicate (in the Multiple display drop down menu).

If suggestion above did not help, please send us the following info:
Primary machine
- operating system (Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10)
- graphics adapter (AMD/Intel/Nvidia/Basic display)
- network type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/wifi direct)
Secondary machine
- viewer type (Android/iOS/Windows/HTML5)
- network type (wired/wireless/USB tethering/wifi direct)
Please also run dxdiag.exe on the primary machine, click "Save All Information" then attach the output file (dxdiag.txt) on your next reply.
