Disconnected by server error

Error code: 2-5

Hi @jace-kim,
What is the connected time? it's below the error code/info.
Did you notice any error notification on your primary machine upon connection attempt?
Please also check the troubleshooting chapter in our user manual https://spacedesk.net/user-manual/.

For further analysis, could you please run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine,
click "Save all information", save the output file (dxdiag.txt) then attach it on your next reply.
Please take note that Attach option below the text editor will be visible after your first or second post.

I got exactly the same problem.

I tried both LAN and WiFi connection.
I switched off antivirus software on all 3 machines.
I removed all the software responsible for Fresco Logic device, and classroom touchscreens...

No changes so far.
It connects, shows a message that it is connected, but the display is off, then after 9-12 seconds it displays the same error, over and over again...

at the same time the primary machine pops up: "Error-Connection attempt failed"

Hi @mike,
Thanks for sending your dxdiag info.

Is your primary machine has dual monitor setup?

Could you please double check if Fresco logic driver is completely removed.
Just run command prompt as administrator then type the command below and check if it's not found.
sc query FLxHCIv

Could you also please try if you can still update your Intel Graphics driver?
via device manager or maybe check the Intel website for last driver version..

Hi Lea,

1. CMD (sc query FLxHCIv) says "The specified service does not exist as an installed service."
2. Device manager says that my intel GFX card driver is up to date.
3. No, my laptop runs with just one screen at the moment - that's why I want to use a secondary machine, if possible add a third one as well.
4. I also reinstalled GFX driver... 

No luck so far. I'm still getting the same error messages 🙁

Hi @mike,
Thanks for the feedback.
Could you please download the spacedesk_LateActivationDisable.zip here then right-click Extract files.
Inside you will find spacedesk_LateActivationDisable.cmd file, just right-click and run as administrator then reboot your Windows 7 primary machine.
After reboot, please try to connect and check if you still get the same problem.

Funny thing is I can use these 3 computers in the setup I want, but only if I use LenovoX201 (lets call it machine 2) as a primary machine that one belongs to my son.
But I want to use the other LenovoX201(let's call it machine1), which has the same windows7, the same software... but it belongs to me.

I'm not sure why it can't work this way.

The same hardware, the same OS, the same software... I compared all installed programs. the list looks the same... nothing looks suspicious... 
The same antivirus software, which for the test is switched off on both machines...

I have no idea, where is the bug. 

Help me out please...

Hi @mike,
Before running the cmd file I sent above, can you quickly try to "Clear All Display Settings" option in our spacedesk SERVER window menu button?
Then try to connect again.

Can't open that menu on this machine...
The only thing I see is the icon on a notification bar, and when I hover my mouse over, it says Network displays 0 connections. It's impossible to click on that and open the menu 🙁

Still nothing works.

hmmm.. now the error got changed to:
Frestco, duet display, splashtop detected... 

Hmmm... but how to fix that?
I'm 100% sure I removed Fresco already.

Got it!

This helped:

- run command prompt as administrator on your primary machine
- type "sc delete lci_proxywddm" enter
- reboot your primary machine
Then try to connect the spacedesk.
Works perfectly fine as a three laptop array 🙂

Hi @mike,
This spacedesk BETA version is currently set to expire by the end of December 2020.
By that time, we probably released a non BETA/PRO version of spacedesk Driver (without expiry date) or if we are still in BETA, we will release a new version with extended expiration date.
