Connecting to IOS from Windows

Hi All and thanks for your help here,

I am running Windows 10 version 1903 on my primary computer

IOS  Version 13.6 for the secondary. 

The mesage is "Cannot detect Server!"

Super frustrating. Spacedesk was working great before an IOS update. I've reinstalled on both machines.

Hi @eldoctore,

Could you please quickly try with spacedesk HTML viewer on your iOS device.Just run a web browser (e.g. Safari, Google Chrome) and navigate to http://viewer.spacedesk.net/, then try to connect to the IP address of your primary machine.
If HTML5 viewer connection works, then the discovery issue is on our current iOS viewer app.
Otherwise, the problem is the network connection.
For further assistance, please check the Troubleshooting - Network connection chapter in our user manual.

I am relieved to tell you that the discovery issue is on your current IOS viewer app.

The HTML viewer mirrors my primary machine. it certainly connected briefly. It was choppy for that period but it worked.

What do we do next?

Hi @eldoctore,
This issue is currently being investigated.
Hopefully this will be fixed very soon.
For further analysis, can you tell us your router model, client IP and server IP, so we can see your network setup.

We will get back to you as soon as we have a new version for you to try.
For now, please use the HTML5 viewer until the iOS viewer app is fixed.

Hello,

I was very excited about using my HP Pavilion laptop with my iPad, but AVG Antivirus dont let them work. The message is always "Cannot detect server!". The spacifications are:

- Primary machine operating system: Windows 10
- Secondary machine operating system: iOS

- Primary machines's Graphics adapter: Intel
- Network connection type: Wireless

Hi @yolanda,
Is your AVG Antivirus has its own firewall settings?
If yes, please try to include C:\Windows\system32\spacedeskService.exe in the exception list to allow incoming and outgoing network connection both on Private and Public network.

Did you also try connecting with HTML5 Viewer page?
