hi I am currently using Windows 10 for my primary machine and Tab S7 for secondary machine. However, after I connected my tablet to my laptop, the server on my laptop show 0 connection and my tablet keeps showing connected-display off. I have checked the display option on my laptop and it doesn't show multiple screen.

May I know how to solve it? Thanks.

Hi @minajang,
Did you notice any error notification on your primary machine upon connection?
For assistance, please also check troubleshooting chapter in our user manual https://spacedesk.net/user-manual/.

For further analysis, could you please run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click "Save All Information", then attach the output file on your next reply.
PS: Attach option should be visible on your side after your second post.

Hi @minajang,
Thanks for sending you dxdiag info.
Are both primary machine and Tab S7 connected on the same network with the same frequency/network band (e.g. 2.4 Ghz or 5.0 Ghz)?

Hi @minajang,
Thanks for the info.
Can you check if auto-reconnect is enabled on the viewer app settings?
Then please try the following on your primary machine:
- run services.msc
- find spacedeskService and restart it
- try to connect again

Hi @minajang,
It seems that spacedesk service is hanging upon viewer connect.
After that error, spacedesk service should be stopped now, right?
Can you try to start it and connect the viewer again?

Is your laptop connected over wireless or wired network?

Hi @minajang,
You can try the following steps to restart spacedesk service
- open task manager and find spacedeskService.exe
- right-click "End task"
- run services.msc, find spacedeskService and try to start it

Can you also quickly try to connect spacedesk other than over the wifi?
Maybe try WiFi Direct/Mobile Hotspot connection or USB tethering?
To setup, please check the instruction in our user manual.
Performance Tuning -> Network Bandwidth https://spacedesk.net/user-manual/.

Then let us know if the spacedesk connection works.
Looking forward to your feedback.

I can't start it in service.msc.

Since my tablet is only with wifi version, it doesn't have usb tethering function...

So how can I solve the problem?

Hi @minajang,
How about WiFi Direct/Hotspot? Can you quickly try it?
If you cannot restart the spacedeskService in services.msc, please restart your primary machine.
Please check Performance Tuning -> Network Bandwidth -> Wifi Direct / Wifi Hotspot / Wifi Access Point on how to setup WiFi Direct connection.

Hi @minajang,
What is your tablet's native screen resolution?

To further analyze this issue, please download the spacedesk diagnostic script here, then extract it.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ilm5em35h0ygsfm/2020_spacedeskDiagnosticTool.zip?dl=0

Inside you will find spacedeskDiagnosticTool.cmd, just right-click it then run as administrator (please restart first your primary machine so the spacedeskService is not hanging).
This script will start a debug view app to capture spacedesk debug traces.
On step 5 it will prompt you to reproduce the issue (by trying to connect the viewer app and let it fail), make sure to do this before pressing any key to continue.
After the script is done, a folder will be created on the same folder as the script file which contains various log files that we need for analysis.
Please right-click it -> Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the *.zip file on your next reply.

Looking forward to your feedback.
