- Primary machine operating system: Windows 10 1903
- Secondary machine operating system: Android 10

- Primary machines's Graphics adapter: Nvidia 456.38
- Network connection type: USB tethering

So i have Windows desktop computer with CPU: Intel I5 7400 GPU: GTX 1050TI Windows 10 with latest drivers And Android running on Android 10. I connect second display with USB tethering and opened in chrome played youtube video from second screen and about 10 min passed it crashed with error message: attempted to write to read only memory. I only have Windows Defender no other antivirus software so i don't know why this happened. I need some help solving this issue so i can continue using this awesome software. 🙂

Hi @monstaaaaa,
Thanks for the input.
Can you possibly try with other network connection e.g. wifi or wifi direct?
Then check if the BSOD will still happen.

There's a possibility that the USB driver used by USB tethering is crashing.
We have other user with similar case, but we have to verify on your side if it's the same.
For further analysis could you please send us the following:
- run dxdiag.exe on your primary machine, click "Save all Information", save the output file (dxdiag.txt)
- most recent dump file (*.dmp) of the BSOD located in C:\Windows\minidump

Please save all requested file in one folder and compress/zip it.
PS: Attach option should be visible after your second post.

I also have the same problem. After a few minutes of connecting (anywhere from 5-20 minutes) , I get a BSOD crash that says:

     Stop Code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

     What failed: usb80236.sys

Have reinstalled & fixed spacedesk on both my windows 10 pc and android phone, tried to update usb drivers but it said the best drivers are already installed.

Nothing mentioned above helped, still keeps happening.

PS: I do have a third party antivirus software, I made sure I have added 'spacedesk service' an exception to the firewall.

Hi @procgofficial,

Thanks for sending your dxdiag info.
Please right-click the dmp file then Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder, then attach the zip file.

Hi @procgofficial,
Thanks for sending the dmp file.
We are currently analyzing it.
It seems that this is the same known BSOD issue on spacedesk if it's connected over USB tethering. The USB driver used by the USB tethering network is crashing.
As of now we don't have a solution or workaround for this issue.

We don't know if it will help, but can you quickly try to plug your USB cable on other USB port on your primary machine?
If you have any pending Windows 10 update, please update also.
If the above suggestion did not help, for now, (if you like) just connect over wireless/wifi direct network.

@spacedesklea , Yes actually I already tried it on all USB Ports including one USB 3.0 but it didn't help. Sure yeah I can connect it via WiFi, but it its not nearly smooth as usb. And yeah my windows is up to date at the moment.

Anyways thanks for the time. Hope it will be fixed sometime in the future. 🙂
