Ability to restrict primary machine network interfaces

Hello,

Is it possible to define what network interfaces are considered by the software on the primary machine.

There are two main reasons why I am interested in this feature:

  • Security: Ability to accept connections for point to point interfaces only (e.g.: cross-over ethernet) without having to meddle with firewall settings
  • Reliability: Although I am connection over a cross-over ethernet interface my secondary display gets disconnected every time there is a connection or disconnection with my Cisco AnyConnect VPN (probably because if modifies the list of local interfaces)

Thanks.

Regard,

David.

This is to be discussed by the spacedesk team.
We will get back to you as soon as we have news regarding this topic.

Hi @cdavidc,

An option to choose which network interface to be used by spacedesk is actually a good idea.
We want to do it at some point but as of now we are focused on higher prioritized features and bug fixes and we currently don't have enough resources yet to implement this feature.
